On the example of the state parliament building in Dresden we demonstrate, how experience and skill enables us to reconstruct a true image of old buildings.
The uncrowned
Parliament building in Dresden prior to restoration. The degraded condition of the tower is obvious. At many locations the copper has worn down to paper thin layers.
Unusual crowning:
The gold-plated copper crown is lifted onto the renovated government office.
(Rebuilding has been made possible from discovered model drawings.)
Finale:
Thze completed Tower with dome and crown. Concave and convex roof areas.
Cushion, snails and miscellaneous artwork at the corners.
Th ecrown rim is covered with pearls and diamonds. The "Reichsapfel" is topped with a cross.
