M/S Lummel is internationally active since 1985 and has turned into one of the world's leading Company's in their trade.

Since 1992 overseas projects are also handled by our sister company in Singapore.

History:

1938

Georg Lummel founded the " Spenglerei" (metal roofer) Lummel in Himmelstadt.

1950

After Georg Lummel passed away, his wife Elisabeth Lummel closed the shop.

1955

Heinz Lummel started with his apprenticeship as metal roofer with M/S Schneider, Veitshöchheim.

1959

To acquire professional experience Heinz Lummel moved to Switzerland for five years right after his journeyman exam.

1964

Heinz Lummel passed his Mastercraftsman exam.

1965

Heinz Lummel re-opens the workshop of his father.

1971

Heinz Lummel passed his Mastercraftsman exam as plumber.

1978 to 1980

the new workshop with residence is build at the new address Echterstrasse in Karlstadt.
At the same time M/S Lummel is awarded their first national large-scale for the Forum Niedernberg and der Sparkasse (savings bank) in Korschenbroich.
M/S Lummel is converting from a traditional metal roofer to a modern enterprise and sets several milestones:
- Work out new methods like the building of single-skin seamed metal roof
- Development of a new metal substructure
- Invention of the hand operated bending machine "Lukas" which received 1988 the state award.
The focal point of the work is now facade and roof cladding in metal i.e.copper, zinc, aluminium, stainless steel and titanium.

1980

M/S Lummel GmbH (Ltd.) is founded.

1985

After rising up to one of the leading firms in Germany, Lummel installed their first overseas project in Saudi-Arabia.
This was followed by contracts in Hong Kong, China, Mongolia, Nigeria, Singapore, Brunei & Seychelles.

1986

Georg Lummel, first son of Heinz, started with his apprenticeship.

1988 to 1990

To cope with the new challanges, a new production and storage hall have been built.

1990

Lummel is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

1992

SIS Sheet Metal International Systems in Singapore has been established.

1994

Georg Lummel passed his Mastercraftsman exam.

2001

Merger of Lummel holdings and Lummel Ltd. to Lummel GmbH & Co KG (LLP)

2003

A Trumatic 3000 Punch-Nibble machine is added to our facilities.

2005
